Community is important to us all, thats why our Yoga practice extends off the mat to support our local community, its charities and great causes.
It's called Kama Yoga, we help you feel good on the mat and we all feel good giving back to our community.
The Elm Foundation began in 1985, when they launched their charity under the name of North Derbyshire Women’s Aid. Their aim in the mid-eighties was exactly the same as it is today: to provide a range of services and much-needed support to any man, woman or child affected by domestic abuse.
Chesterfield Yoga Studio were happy to donate £200.00 to the Elm Foundation in Jan 2021.
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that Paul Mann who has been a dedicated yoga student on a Monday night for many years has passed away. Aged only 62, Paul was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend to many.
We raised £325.00 in memory of Paul for the RSPB the charity that Pauls family have chosen.
Junction Arts is a community arts charity based in Chesterfield. It is one of the oldest participatory arts charities in the UK. It is responsible for the Annual Bolsover Lantern Parade, the Tapton Lock Festival and many more community art events in our region.
In December we were happy to support Junction Arts in the Big Give campaign and donated £200 to this brilliant charity.
Ashgate Hospice touches the lives of so many in our community. 2020 has been a difficult year for their fundraising campaigns. With the sparkle walk cancelled this year, we decided to create a Yoga Sparkle Class, we raised over £300.00 for the charity from one class alone. Thank you to all those who attended and donated.
